Low-tide walk to Teddington Lock, 12noon.
Following the successful and exciting Kew Bridge riverbed walk, meet at the river steps at Ham where the Hammerton’s ferry docks and walk via the towpath and the riverbed up to Teddington Lock, finishing at The Anglers pub for lunch. Wellies essential.

Visit to Church of St Magnus, Lower thames Street which houses a derailed 4m long model of the medieval London Bridge. Lunch at a suitable venue to follow.

Friday May 23rd 2025 - Upper Tideway Branch

From 6.30pm a walk along Brentford's fast-changing riverscape. Meet at the slipway  by the Waterman's Centre. We will explore the 'new' Brentford, mostly along the river, one detour taking us down through the Brentford Project to finish up at the River Brent. Then a glass at a local hostelry. Mostly easy-going. One set of steep steps to be negotiated. Approximately a one-hour walk..

Travel over the Thames on the IFS Cloud Cable Car and then walk along the Royal Victoria Dock for lunch at the Windjammer pub.
Meet at 11.30am outside North Greenwhich tube station (Jubilee line) No need to book.

Wednesday June 25th 2025 - Upper Tideway Branch.

From 12 noon, a visit to Leigh-on-Sea and Two-Tree Island.
Meet outside Fenchurch Street Station at 12 noon, Pick up cheap day returns.
On arrival at Leigh, we will head for Two-Tree Island which Miranda Vickers, author of Eyots and Aits, Islands of the River Thames, will tell us about. Then back to Leigh for a look around the o;d village by the water..
A late lunch/early dinner at one of the seafood restaurants before heading home.
The distance covered by foot is around 3 miles.
